Diamon Valley Sports Centre
Project Overview
The redevelopment of the Diamond Valley Sports & Fitness Centre stands as a pivotal project, addressing both present and future demands within the community and local sports associations through structural engineering. This undertaking involved a significant expansion, nearly doubling the facility's size and introducing new courts and an administration building. The extension encompasses four state-of-the-art courts for basketball, netball, volleyball, and badminton, along with a modern entrance featuring reception, kiosk, and café spaces, an expanded gym area, and upgraded restroom and changing room facilities. The exterior enhancements encompassed the creation of new roadways, parking areas, walkways, fencing, and landscaping. Despite encountering numerous construction challenges, this world-class sports facility was delivered more than five weeks ahead of schedule, representing a significant investment by the council and providing a new home for over 5,000 members, with continued growth anticipated.
